Karelia Software's flagship Sandvox website design software just got even easier to use thanks to a major upgrade in the Sandvox 2.0 version. The software is far easier to use than Dreamweaver, yet more flexible and robust than iWeb. Designed for Mac, it brings high quality web design within reach of those who are not graphic design experts.
The palette of stock site designs in the program are nothing special, but they are clean and uncluttered with a range of pleasing color themes that can appeal to a wide audience. Sandvox supports HTML5, CSS3 and Jquery, as well as blog commenting via Disqus, IntenseDebate and Facebook Comments. It also offers plug-ins that provide support for Facebook and Twitter, as well as a plug-in API for third-party developers. There is a built-in Raw HTML editor to complement the object-oriented design workflow, which is reminiscent of the beloved Espresso from MacRabbit.
